Located in downtown Barcelona is an old theatre, now turned club; Nitsa. From the outside you’d be forgiven for thinking this was a casino with its flashing signs, but with the queue of partygoers stretching out from the entrance, you soon realise that this is something much more.
The queue moved quick and were soon inside, upstairs where we grabbed some drinks and headed straight into the crowd to catch Fra, the resident of the club playing out some familiar tech house tracks.
Joy Orbison followed and immediately picked up the pace, dropping some heavier beats and playing to the crowd with some really nice drops. Of course he included his track ‘Ellipsis’ (featured below) in his two hour set, to which the crowd went mad for. Marcel Dettmann closed the night with some banging techno which was a perfect addition to the earlier sets.
Great venue, great crowd and great lineup. One to revisit…particularly as the likes of Jacques Greene and Pearson Sound are playing there soon. Get yourselves to Barcelona!
