Repping LA-based-tripple-act Droog and fresh off the back of his performance at Summer Solstice Festival in Iceland, Justin (the one with the pink whiskers) answers a few of our Qs…
Hey Justin! You just played Summer Solstice festival in Iceland….it looked unbelievably amazing. Had you been to Iceland before?
I’ve been to Iceland a few times, love it there – most recently (before Summer Solstice) two years ago playing the Besta Útihátíðin festival (yeah, I had to look that up) and the now defunct, Factory.
The Hot Spring Valley looks like a perfect and unusual raving venue. Did you jump in?
Like Prince said, “You have to purify yourself in Lake Minnetonka” – so yes
The line-up is HUGE! Who did you hang around to catch?
The set time is right after Rob da Bank, love his eclectic style; Woodkid played an impressive live show; of course, Kerri Chandler; and the Rebel Rave crew never disappoint.
Which tracks will be making dance floors go wild this summer?
Is it too much to say the next Culprit (our label) release? It’s easy being a company man with Edu Imbernon’s ‘Fade It All Out’ doing the damage it does.
What does the rest of the summer hold in store for Droog?
Next few weeks stay busy with San Francisco, San Diego, a mountain top in Colorado and we’re bringing the Apollonia fellas to LA in July.
And finally, the one we ask everyone, what would you do as techno kittens for the day?
The missus has a cat, I’m a dog person. I don’t understand cats at all, but hers is a real sweetheart when she’s not being a dick. I guess I’d be like that but with techno.
