The first wave of acts for one of Germany’s premier electronic festivals, Melt!, have just been announced for their 2016 installment. Situated in the Ferropolis peninsular in the heart of an old coal mining site (complete with industrial architecture, cranes and excavators) and jutting out onto a tranquil lake, the venue for this festival is pretty unique.
The non-stop 72 hour party will take place 15-17th July 20016 and play host to an array of top acts such as Maceo Plex, Ben Klock, Jamie XX, DJ Koze, Solomun, Disclosure, Kollektiv Turmstrass, andhim, Mano Le Tough and Oliver Koletzki . Modeselektor will also be curating a special ‘Melt!Selektor stage’ so keep an eye our for that and as a festival known for bringing a multitude of genres together, acts that straddle the electronica genre such as Jamie Woon and M83 are also set to play as are Two Door Cinema Club.
Tickets are already on sale but if you nab ’em before Christmas you’ll get free entry to the pre-party on Thursday 14th July 2016! There are also tickets available for their infamous MiXery Melt!
