DRUMCODE
The underground tunnels in South London had been made up to look like a crypt and the crowd had made a good effort with their costumes creating a creepy exciting atmosphere. Our hot new find of the night was Nicole Moudaber who started off with some classic tracks progressing into something heavy and pounding, we liked her style a lot. Pan-Pot gave us a perfect party set with a haunted edge and had the crowd jumping around, shaking it hard and then…Beyer. Oh Adam Beyer- he’s called a techno legend for a reason. Pouding, heavy, relentless and seamlessly mixed. Techno heaven.
INNERVISIONS
It was our first trip to I CAN STUDIOS in East London and boy what a treat. A lovely big white studio space with a balcony overlooking the dance floor of Room 1 and lots of nice nooks and crannies to go and hide in. The music, crowd and atmosphere were all superlative with Ame and Dixon completely hypnotising the crowd and the Kittens with their unique Innervisions sound (so much so we never even made it to Room 2 to check out Todd Terje and Prins Thomas!) On to the Stubnitz for the after party and our second visit to quite possibly the best party venue we’ve ever stepped in. Dolan Bergin opened proceedings here and played an incredible set punctuated by some ultimate Techno Kittens faves. Then after their short rest Dixon and Ame returned again rejuvenated and refreshed holding the crowd in the palm of their hands til they all said goodbye at midday. We overheard more than one person say ‘best night ever…’
